The rule
SEBI's algo-trading rules, which apply from 1 April 2026, require every live order placed through a broker's API to come from a static IP address that is unique to you and whitelisted with your broker. Orders from any other address are rejected by the broker.
Why your home or mobile internet doesn't qualify
- It changes. Most home broadband and all mobile data connections get a new IP address from time to time, sometimes daily.
- It's shared. Mobile networks put many customers behind one public address, so the address isn't unique to you.
- It isn't where the orders come from. A cloud trade copier places orders from its own servers, not from your phone. Your phone's IP has nothing to do with them.
The usual workarounds are a paid static IP from your internet provider, or a cloud server (VPS) you run yourself. Both work for your own scripts, but neither helps a service that trades for you from somewhere else.
How Trade Arena handles it
- A dedicated IP per account. Your orders to Fyers leave from an address assigned to your account alone.
- It stays yours. An address is never handed to another user, even after you leave, so a whitelist entry can never end up pointing at someone else's orders.
- Checked before the open. The address is verified every morning, before the market opens.
- Exits are never blocked. If your subscription lapses, new entries may stop, but stop-losses, targets and the 3:15 PM square-off still leave from your address.
Setting it up
- Find your dedicated IP in Settings → Broker → Dedicated trading IP.
- At myapi.fyers.in, open your API app and add the address to its IP whitelist.
- Back in Trade Arena, click Verify connection. Green means your orders leave from your whitelisted IP.

What it costs
The dedicated IP comes with a free trial, then a monthly subscription. The current price is shown in the app before you pay. We never charge automatically when a trial ends; see the refund and cancellation policy.
