How to set up the Fyers API for auto trading

Updated 4 October 2026

To place orders in your Fyers account, Trade Arena uses the Fyers API through an API app that you create and own. Setup takes about ten minutes once, then a quick login each morning.

What you need

  • A Fyers trading account with F&O enabled.
  • A Trade Arena account. Sign in with Google; it's free to start.

1. Create a Fyers API app

  1. Sign in to the Fyers API dashboard at myapi.fyers.in with your Fyers account.
  2. Create a new app. Give it any name you'll recognise, such as “Trade Arena”.
  3. Set the Redirect URL to exactly:
    https://tele.tradearena.in/auth/fyers/callback
It has to match character for character, or the Fyers login can't return to Trade Arena.
  4. If Fyers asks which permissions the app needs, allow order placement, positions and market data.
  5. Save the app, then copy its App ID and Secret Key.

2. Connect the app to Trade Arena

  1. In Trade Arena, open Settings → Broker and expand App credentials.
  2. Paste your App ID and Secret Key.
  3. Click Connect with Fyers, then log in and approve on the Fyers page that opens.
  4. You're returned to Trade Arena with the broker connected.

Your App ID and Secret Key are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM. You can revoke access any time by deleting the app in your Fyers dashboard.

3. Whitelist your static IP

Live API orders must come from a static IP registered to you. Trade Arena gives your account a dedicated IP:

  1. Find it in Settings → Broker → Dedicated trading IP.
  2. Add it to your app's IP whitelist on myapi.fyers.in.
  3. Click Verify connection in Settings. A green result means your orders leave from your whitelisted IP.

Do this before your first live order: the broker rejects orders from an IP that isn't whitelisted. Why a static IP is required.

4. Log in to Fyers each morning

Fyers access tokens expire every day. Reconnect from Settings → Broker each morning before the market opens. While the login has expired, no new trades can be placed for you, and the app tells you so.

Common problems

“Invalid redirect URI” when connecting

The Redirect URL in your Fyers app doesn't exactly match https://tele.tradearena.in/auth/fyers/callback. Fix it in the Fyers dashboard and connect again.

Orders rejected by the broker

Usually the IP isn't whitelisted yet, or the whitelisted address doesn't match. Run Verify connection in Settings, which makes a real authenticated call to Fyers through your IP.

Trades stopped in the morning

The daily Fyers login has expired. Reconnect in Settings.
